Who We Are
Our mission is to connect girls and women with organizations, programs, and services—both locally and around the world—that provide valuable resources to support and empower their lives.
Our vision is that girls around the world are empowered to advance beyond their circumstances and achieve their goals. We recognize that, oftentimes, they are unaware of the resources available to them. We are out to ensure that this is no longer the case.

How We Came to Be
After 12 years as a professional ballerina, WorldWideWomen Founder & CEO, Maureen Broderick, shifted gears to start a career in business. She became the first female marketing professional at Price Waterhouse and subsequently started her own consulting group, Broderick and Co. Having always felt strongly about female empowerment, Broderick then went on to build WorldWideWomen, a social enterprise company dedicated to building a global movement for women’s and girls' equality through technology, philanthropy, and advocacy.
Over the last four years, our global team has been researching, aggregating and vetting resources to include in the company's pièce de résistance: worldwidewomen.co, the global resource directory for women. This website is a place where people can come every day to discover valuable resources that support their lives, connect with women around the world, and collaborate to solve issues that impact our global community. Resources span from topics like education, health & wellness, investing, entrepreneurs, women's rights,
Additionally, in an effort to support and promote women-owned businesses, we created the BuyFromWomen™ directory, featuring exceptional products and services created and offered by women. We intend for this to become a global movement bringing visibility and business to women entrepreneurs and we encourage all of our visitors to consciously buy from women-owned businesses whenever possible.

Alongside these offerings, we host the annual WorldWideWomen Girls' Festival through our foundation in an effort to bring our mission to life, impacting girls locally in a direct and tangible way. These events have been made possible with the help of our corporate partners and local non-profit organizations.
Women are more than half of the world. We’re the majority, not the minority. Imagine the power of a central place for women to connect, share and collaborate... together we can change the world!" - Maureen Broderick, Founder & CEO
What We Do
We work toward our mission by hosting Girls' Festivals in the San Francisco Bay Area. Through these festivals, girls have a unique opportunity to connect with organizations, aggregated by WorldWideWomen Foundation, that offer programs and services created especially for them. Resources span across countless topics including S.T.E.M., leadership, education, body image, social change, nutrition, fitness, safety, and visual & performing arts. We held our first annual Girls’ Festival in San Francisco in October 2016 with over 5,000 girls and their families in attendance. Our second festival in October 2017 in Oakland, California was another great success. Our venue hit capacity and attendees remarked that it was a phenomenal and, for some, life-changing day! Recently we held our third annual event, which took place at Santa Clara University on October 6th and welcomed nearly 3,000 girls and their families, bringing our total number of attendees to more than 10,000 over the past three years.
